Hikers on the Path of the Gods with a view of Positano

The Path of the Gods

It is the coast's most famous hike, a scenic path connecting Bomerano, a hamlet of Agerola, to Nocelle, above Positano. Legend says it was the route of the gods of Olympus: today it offers breathtaking views over the whole coast, as far as Capri and the Li Galli islets.

Route
Bomerano → Nocelle
Length
≈ 7.8 km
Duration
3 – 4 hours

Moderate
When to go: spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) are ideal, with mild temperatures and fewer crowds. In summer the trail is very sunny: set off early. Hiking shoes and water are essential. The Bomerano → Nocelle direction, mostly downhill, is recommended.
